Hi! I'm Stephany Wood, a Professor, Educator, American Heart Association Instructor, and healthcare professional with more than 30 years of experience in healthcare and 18 years of educating and mentoring future healthcare professionals.
Throughout my career, I've been passionate about helping others learn, grow, and succeed. As a Professor and Educator, I've had the privilege of teaching and mentoring hundreds of students as they prepare to enter the healthcare profession. My experience in both the classroom and clinical settings has allowed me to combine real-world knowledge with practical, hands-on instruction that prepares students for success.
Education has always been more than a career for me, it's a passion. I believe that when people feel confident in their knowledge and skills, they are better prepared to care for others and respond when emergencies happen.

My background includes a wide variety of healthcare and educational roles, allowing me to bring real-world experience into every class I teach.

In addition to my American Heart Association courses, I am also an instructor for the American College of Surgeons' Stop the Bleed® Program, which teaches participants how to recognize and control life-threatening bleeding before emergency responders arrive.
The American College of Surgeons' Stop the Bleed® program is operated pursuant to a licensing agreement granted by the U.S. Department of Defense.

I founded Northern Colorado CPR Safety and More because I believe lifesaving education should be engaging, practical, and accessible to everyone, not just healthcare professionals.
Whether you're a healthcare provider maintaining your certification, a teacher preparing for emergencies, a construction worker improving workplace safety, a childcare provider, or someone who simply wants to protect their family, my goal is the same: to help you gain the confidence to act when every second counts.
Every class I teach is designed to be hands-on, interactive, and supportive. I encourage questions, provide individualized instruction, and create an environment where students feel comfortable practicing their skills until they leave feeling confident.
For me, teaching CPR and First Aid isn't just about earning a certification, it's about preparing people to make a difference in someone's life during an emergency.
Helping people gain the knowledge and confidence to save a life isn't just my profession—it's my passion.
